Working on building up my natural science illustration portfolio. I enjoy dinosaurs a great deal, so here's a hadrosaur called Anatotitan.

Edit: Enlarged the head

Excellent rendition :D
Love the colours and overall paintwork. However, as an anatomical accuracy stickler, I am somewhat taken aback by the enlarged bulging torso and smallish head. Here's a good reference for Edmontosaurus (Anatotitan) (If you browse the parent site you'll be able to find more images. dA makes havoc with some links).

Nice illustration. Like the colors. If I may, isnt the body a bit thick for the legs? In any case I like it :)

Nice reference photo! I do see what you mean.. especially regarding the small head (I've always had the tendency to shrink heads on all sorts of animals--need to work on it :P). The torso, I think, while rather large as you say, probably isn't out of the question, especially if the creature were unusually fat or muscular.. or generally a large individual.

Thanks for the critique though. I'll keep it in mind for future pieces.

No problem :) Always glad to be of assistance.

Agreed: you can say it's an old dominant female as it would get the choiciest bits of fodder and grow more than average ;)
